The Bluetti Charger 1 is a 560W alternator charger that charges a portable power station from your vehicle's starter battery while you drive, about six times faster than a 12V cigarette lighter socket. It's built for van life, road trips and overlanders with limited roof space for solar.

Charge time while driving (RPC estimate at the full 560W, empty to full):

Station Capacity Drive time to full
Premium 100 V2 1,024Wh about 2 hrs
Premium 200 V2 2,074Wh about 3.5 hrs
Apex 300 2,765Wh about 5 hrs

Bluetti says it fully charges a 1kWh power station in about 2.5 hours of driving, a little slower than our estimate once real-world losses are counted.

It works with all Bluetti power stations and most other brands that accept a solar-style input. Output voltage is adjustable from 15V to 56V in the Bluetti app, which also shows your car battery's status. It works with 12V and 24V vehicle systems, has active fan cooling, and is protected by a 60A circuit breaker.

Best for: Van life and road trips • Overlanders who move camp often • Anyone with limited solar or roof space

Not the best fit if: you want to charge from solar and your alternator at the same time. The Charger 1 is alternator only; the Charger 2 adds a 600W solar input and 800W of alternator charging.

Works with: Premium 100 V2 • Premium 200 V2 • Apex 300

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a 30-minute drive add?
About 280Wh at the full 560W, roughly a quarter of a 1kWh station.

Will it drain my car battery?
The Bluetti app shows your car battery's status, and the charger is built to run off the alternator while the engine is running. Check its settings so it doesn't draw down the starter battery when parked.

Does it work with non-Bluetti power stations?
Yes, with most stations that accept a solar-style input, since its output voltage adjusts from 15V to 56V.

Does it work with 24V trucks?
Yes. It supports 12V and 24V vehicle systems.
