The Renogy lightweight solar suitcase is a rigid, foldable panel with built-in aluminum kickstands. Unfold it, set the angle and plug it in, with no roof mounting or brackets. The 220W folds to 18.11" × 27.17" × 3.15" and weighs 15.87 lbs. The 400W folds to 27.9" × 33.7" × 3.2" and weighs 30.2 lbs. Both use ETFE-coated cells with IP68 solar connectors.

Kickstands are what make a suitcase easier than a blanket for daily use: you can aim it at the sun and leave it, which squeezes more watt-hours out of each day. That makes it a strong partner for a portable power station at home during outages, at a campsite, or anywhere a roof array isn't practical.

Real-world numbers: in 5 peak sun hours, expect roughly 825Wh per day from the 220W and about 1,500Wh from the 400W (rating × 5 hours × 0.75 for real-world losses). The 2-pack doubles that to about 3,000Wh per day, enough to refill a 3kWh power station on a good day.

Before you buy: the 220W panel has a 23.6V open-circuit voltage and the 400W has 47.2V. Check both against your power station's solar input voltage and current limits, and make sure you have the right connector. No charge controller is included. A power station uses its own built-in MPPT, but charging a 12V battery directly requires a separate charge controller.

Best for: Recharging portable power stations • Home backup during outages • Campsites and RV boondocking without a roof array • Aiming at the sun throughout the day
